ADDART band was formed in Lesvos ,a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea, by Theodoros K. (vocals and drums) , Petros K.(guitars) and Chrissa G.(bass) in 2014.
In the past they were playing in various local bands ( Method X, Mortal’s Fate, Esagil and Suffer In Silence) which some of them had released promo cd.
Before this final line up they had several (line-up) changes and were playing strictly covers until they decided to focus on their own music ideas.
Fuckface ( the title of their first debut released E.P. ) was their first song and they were experimenting with it for about one year to give the music Identity they wanted .
During the next two years they started fleshing out their own material to more complete efforts, and keep on gigging in their local scene at festivals and clubs.
In 2018 they hit the studio to record their songs. The end result became their debut EP Fuckface which was launched in January 2019 by B otherside records in vinyl format.
An EP which reamped mixed and mastered by O’Grego mix master.
Their songs based on heavy groovy riffs and loud, solid rhythm that sometimes blend with progressive and doom elements.
Right after they started to write songs for their second album but this time for a full length record.
The title of the new album is Promnisia and has been released in February 2022 .
Nine songs that keep all the atmosphere of their first album but with more variety in some areas.
Plus female vocals by Nicki Abou Chaitza as a session member and guitarist petros K. Did lead vocals on four songs.
The mixing , mastering and reamping one more time by our favourite guy Athanasio Karapano (OGREGO mix master) and the cover layouts by Ultraaura .
Released again by B otherside records in 300 vinyl copies.
Now ADDART keep on writing songs for the third album and rehearsing to be ready for live gigs.
Hard to do but they would not have it any other way.
Οι Addart είναι ένα μουσικό συγκρότημα που δημιουργήθηκε στη Λέσβο , ένα Ελληνικό νησί του Βόρειου Αιγαίου , από τους Θόδωρο Κ. (Φωνή,τύμπανα), Πέτρο Κ. (κιθάρες) και τη Χρύσα Γ. (Μπάσο) το 2014.
Στο παρελθόν συμμετείχαν σε διάφορες τοπικές μπάντες (Method X,Mortal’s Fate, Esagil και Suffer In Silence) με κάποιες από αυτές να παρουσιάζουν Promo cd.
Πριν καταλήξουν στο σημερινό σχήμα είχαν πολλές αλλαγές μουσικών και παίζανε αποκλειστικά διασκευές πριν αποφασίσουν να συγκεντρωθούν στις δικές τους μουσικές ιδέες.
Το Fuckface (Ο τίτλος του ντεμπούτου τους E.P.) ήταν το πρώτο τους τραγούδι όπου πειραματίστηκαν μ’αυτό για περίπου ένα χρόνο για να δώσουν την μουσική ταυτότητα που θέλανε.
Κατά την διάρκεια των επόμενων δύο χρόνων άρχισαν να δουλεύουν,πιο ολοκληρωμένα, το δικό τους υλικό και συνέχισαν να δίνουν συναυλίες σε τοπικά Club και Φεστιβάλ.
Το 2018 μπαίνουν στο στούντιο να ηχογραφήσουν τα τραγούδια τους .
Το τελικό αποτέλεσμα ήταν το ντεμπούτο EP Fuckface που βγήκε τον Ιανουάριο του 2019 απ’την δισκογραφική Βotherside records σε βινύλιο.
Ένα EP που η παραγωγή και το μιξάρισμα έγινε απ’τον Ogrego mix master.
Tα τραγούδια βασίστηκαν σε βαριά ρυθμικά ,groovy ριφς και δυνατά , <στέρεα > ρυθμικά μέρη που σε κάποια σημεία εμφανίζονται κάποια προοδευτικά και Doom στοιχεία.
Κατευθείαν μετά ξεκίνησαν να γράφουν τραγούδια για το δεύτερο άλμπουμ τους Promnisia που κυκλοφόρησε τον Φεβρουάριο του 2022.
Εννιά τραγούδια που διατηρούν την ατμόσφαιρα του πρώτου τους άλμπουμ αλλά με ποιο ποικιλία σε κάποια μέρη.
Έξτρα γυναικεία φωνητικά της Νίκη Αμπού Χαιτζά σαν session μέλος καθώς και τον κιθαρίστα Πέτρο Κ. που μοιράζεται τα βασικά φωνητικά σε τέσσερα τραγούδια .
Στο μιξάρισμα και την παραγωγή για άλλη νια φορά ο αγαπημένος μας Αθανάσιος Καραπάνος ( Ogrego mix master) και τα εξώφυλλα από την Ultraaura.
Βγαλμένο ξανά από την B otherside records σε κόπιες 300 βινυλίων .
Τώρα οι Addart συνεχίζουν να γράφουν τραγούδια για το τρίτο τους άλμπουμ κάνοντας συγχρόνως πρόβες για να’ναι έτοιμοι για κάποιο Live.
Δύσκολο να γίνεται αλλά δεν υπήρχε περίπτωση να γίνει και διαφορετικά.
